•Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale for transfer students
•No parent/legal guardian who was expelled, was a student in the military, is currently incarcerated, or is receiving aid from a Department of Corrections or Department of Veterans Affairs program

How Much Do I Need To Pay For College?
When determining the amount of grant aid needed for college, consider the following: the cost of in-state tuition and fees, housing, books, supplies, transportation (gas, parking, etc.), and miscellaneous expenses.
It is helpful to consider family resources and family size when determining how much financial aid you may be eligible for. Once you have determined the cost of college and all other factors, estimate the amount you will need to pay per month.
To be considered eligible for need-based aid, students must have a demonstrated financial need.
Payments are made monthly on a student’s behalf and are generally due one time. However, you can make an installment payment, which is payable monthly, toward your loans for a set time.
What About Loans and Scholarships?
Due to the complexities and unexpected costs of student loan debt, many students and families prefer to avoid borrowing if they can possibly help it. The ability to help your children without student loan debt depends largely on their individual circumstances. Most families will want to seek help if: Your child’s financial need exceeds the UCI Federal Credit Union Loan Guarantee which offers up to $20,000 for students in their first two years.
Your child or children are seeking a very significant amount of financial aid, like full tuition for the Fall of the prior year.
Your child or children will be attending UCI Law in Fall of the upcoming year.
