What Is The Acceptance Rate Of Ohlone College?

Step 1

Before applying to college you must first have an OpenCCC account. The OpenCCC single sign-in account allows you to access the online services of the California Community Colleges. OpenCCC is a service of the California Community Colleges Chancellors Office. The information in your account is kept private and secure. Apply by visiting OpenCCCApply. *Please make sure that you apply with your legal name, and review your application before submitting it. It is very important to read each question in the application correctly. Any discrepancies may cause a delay in your application being processed.

Step 2

Students need to sign up for WebAdvisor account once the student ID number is received. A WebAdvisor account is necessary to Register, Add, Drop, Waitlist, and pay for your classes online.

Paper applications are also available here and should be submitted to the Office of Admissions and Records on the Fremont campus in Room 7249 or the Student Services Center on the Newark campus in Room NC1312. All information requested on the application must be provided. Incomplete applications will be rejected.

Students should submit official transcripts from all prior institutions and high schools (if graduated from high school within the last five years) to the Office of Admissions and Records on the Fremont campus or the Student Services Center on the Newark campus.

Follow these steps to complete the Ohlone College Enrollment Process online.

Students who have missed one or more semesters are required to reapply for admissions through OpenCCCApply.

If you have an account with OpenCCCApply, log in and complete an application for the term that you are intending to take the class in.

If you don’t have an OpenCCCApply account, the first step is to create an account; the second step is to complete an application for admissions for the term that you are intending to take classes in.

Summer and Fall applications open in February and Spring applications open in early October.

The Ohlone College Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit auxiliary organization created to support Ohlone College in the execution of its strategic mission.

The Foundation focuses on the critically important task of raising funds to support a broad array of educational programs.

The Ohlone College Foundation was established in 1967 with the founding of Ohlone College.

In the 2019 fiscal year, the Foundation provided over $200,000 for Ohlone College programs and awarded 79 scholarships totaling $156,950 to deserving Ohlone College students.

The Ohlone College Foundation awards many scholarships to help students like you meet their educational goals.

There are many different scholarships available to incoming high-school seniors, continuing Ohlone College students, and students transferring from Ohlone College to a 4-year institution.

A common myth is that only students with straight-A’s, or those in extreme financial need, can receive a scholarship. But, it’s not true!  Ohlone has a wide variety of scholarships available, and most students will find something they qualify for.

There are many general scholarships, as well scholarships with specific objectives such as ones for certain majors, qualities such as leadership, being a first-generation college student, and more.

Though some scholarships may target academic performance or financial need, it’s not the main prerequisite – what’s important is that in your application you demonstrate that investing in you will make a difference in our community.

The majority of scholarships require full-time enrollment (12 units per semester), though some are available to students enrolled in 6 units or more, per semester.

All scholarships require a letter of recommendation from an Ohlone College faculty or staff member. So we encourage you to start your application early in the application period.

You won’t have very good luck obtaining a recommendation letter if you ask two days before the deadline!
