About the Northwestern Engineering School

Established in 1909, Northwestern Engineering school and Applied Science is one of the constituent schools at Northwestern University. The Northwestern Engineering acceptance rate is quite distinct from the general school acceptance rate, in terms of students admitted annually.

There are many courses and disciplines under engineering attainable at this partition of the whole school.

North Western Engineering courses cover a wide range of engineering disciplines, Most engineering classes, including Northwestern Engineering grad courses are held in the Technological Institute built-in 1942, which students, in general, refer to as “Tech.”

The school has other affiliations with companies such as ford and other world-recognized automobile companies.

Some of these companies employ students almost immediately after graduation to start practicing what they have learned in this institution.

Where is Northwestern engineering?

Northwestern has a strong focus on research and has developed some of the most famous technology products in the world. Some of their famous inventions include the first electronic watch, the Cyclotron machine, and the X-ray tube.

Northwestern engineering is a highly respected university with a strong focus on technology and innovation. Northwestern’s engineering program offers students the opportunity to pursue a wide variety of career opportunities in technology and innovation. Our students have the opportunity to study with some of the world’s leading experts in this field, as well as develop their skills in critical thinking, problem solving, and communication.

Is Northwestern good for engineering?

Northwestern provides top-tier engineering programs that can help you succeed in the industry. But what about the rest of your education? is Northwestern good for business? And what about the rest of your life? Are Northwestern and other business schools worth the investment?

Northwestern is a leading university in engineering. In fact, Northwestern has the sixth-highest percentage of engineers in the United States. And this isn’t counting their undergraduate engineering program, which is one of the most rigorous in the country. Northwestern also offers an excellent graduate program in engineering. So if you want to be a good engineer, you need to go to Northwestern.

Northwestern Engineering Acceptance Rate

Northwestern Engineering’s acceptance rate was once 6% on average. For the current admission year, Northwestern received 4,058 applicants, a 6% increase in the number received the previous year.

As usual, applicants who come earlier will fill about half the entering class, which will total about 1,925 students.

Northwestern Engineering acceptance rate was 9.3% in 2018, accepting only 3,371 of the 37,255 applicants who applied.

The Early Decision admission rate was 35%, this policy is extended across the Northwest University in total, and the applicants accepted in the early round filled 55% of all the engineering classes.

More than 90 percent of all applicants were in the top 10% of the class is graduating.

As for test scores: the average 50% of accepted students scored between 1440-1540 on the SAT & 32-34 on the ACT. 67% of accepted students also intended to merge two or more fields of study. 12% of matriculating students are seen to be Hispanic or Latinx, 19% are Asian, 10% are black, and 10% are international students.

Considering the mode of admission down through the years, the Northwestern Engineering acceptance rate is 13%.

Note: Early applicants are given more attention, and they stand a better chance of being offered admission.
